Water Gardens

I recently got a pond.

I think it’s about an average-sized pond, but I’m not sure. Ponds aren’t something I’m very knowledgeable about. You see, I haven’t even been around one before.

Located inside the pond, is fish (obviously), two water lilies, and two underwater plants. I wanted tadpoles as well, but the store won’t carry them until April.

My favorite part about the pond is the fish. They’re just so cute! Though, it’s kind of hard to see them because they’re shy and have a tendency to hide underneath the lilly pads.

In the center of the pond, is a little fountain thing. It’s really windy where I live, meaning, water splashes every which way. It is annoying but it does aerate the water. Without that, the fish would suffocate.

I was really excited when I saw the purple water lilly. I never knew water lillies could be purple. If you haven’t already guessed, purple is my favorite color.

I don’t want to leave the other one out, though. It’s very pretty as well. Looking closely, you can see it has a tinge of periwinkle.

Just in case I don’t write another blog between now and Easter, I’m going to go ahead and say it. Happy Easter!

Easter Projects

Easter activities have never been a big deal to me. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I got excited about easter egg hunts when I was little. But it was never quite as much fun as I originally anticipated.

I honestly doubted I would make anything for Easter this year. That is, until I saw these cards at Target.

They’re just so, so cute! It inspires me, but I can’t decide which look to go for.

I asked my mom what she thought and she said the one on the left is her favorite. But part of me is attracted to the one on the right. That being said, I’ll probably be happier with the other one.

I’ll probably end up making a combination of the two.

I went over to Hobby Lobby today and bought theses pom-poms.

Hopefully, I’ll be able to make something cute.
